about
Paradise is the explosive finale to Mallavora’s debut EP and aptly titles the four-single collection. Since March 2020, Mallavora have released an impactful new single every month with escalating momentum and highly-charged dedication. Paradise is innovative and beautiful, sailing through tranquil yet poised verses to anguished choruses, through a menacing drum solo to its peak: a blistering groove metal riff followed by a final devastating chorus, dissolving into a haunting guitar solo and outro. The 8 minute-long progressive epic is a shuddering plea for climate action and salvation, offering a fitting ultimatum to complete the band’s meteoric arsenal.
lyrics
Blindly fixated
You’ve no idea what we’ve done
Do you feel her hurting?
We’re obligated
To try and save this from ourselves
Can’t you hear her crying?
Save her
But now it seems there’s nothing left to say
Our toxic lives have only caused her pain
How did we live before?
We all wanted more
Pushed her too far, no she
Can’t restart
Listen to their lies
Believe their paradise
While we’re still here, oh we
She bleeds from our mistakes
We want all so we just take
Breathe deep, expose our sins
Darkness falls on where we begin
Save her
But now it seems there’s nothing left to say
Our toxic lives have only caused her pain
How did we live before?
We all wanted more
Pushed her too far, no she
Can’t restart
Listen to their lies
Believe their paradise
While we’re still here, oh we
She bleeds from our mistakes
We want all so we just take
Breathe deep, expose our sins
Darkness falls on where we begin
Save her
We can’t refuse,
We can’t excuse,
What we’ve abused,
But we can choose,
Look to the skies,
Remove our eyes,
From digital lives,
Where we digitise
Look to the skies
From satellites,
They advertise,
We plasticise
Look to the skies,
Remove our eyes,
From digital lives,
Feeding our demise
Look to the skies
From satellites,
They advertise,
We plasticise
Love save our world
Love save our world
Love save our world
Love save our world
But now it seems there’s nothing left to say
Our toxic lives have only caused her pain
Don't wait for her to die
How did we live before?
We all wanted more
Pushed her too far, no she
Can’t restart
Listen to their lies
Believe their paradise
While we’re still here, oh we
Scorch her heart
How did we live before?
We all wanted more
Pushed her too far, no she
Can’t restart
Listen to their lies
Believe their paradise
While we’re still here, oh we
Blindly fixated
No our mistakes can’t be undone
But there’s hope in trying
